Reading to Big Kids

March 5, 2013
I love reading. All kinds of reading, but  in the last several years thanks to a Twitter chat called #titletalk I have learned the tremendous value of reading to my students--undergraduate and graduate students--during class each week.  I have found some great books from different blogs and Amazon and Barnes and Noble recommendations.  My top 10 favorite books to read aloud to big kids are:
1. Good Night iPad by Ann Droid
2. It's a Book by Lane Smith
3. We Are In A Book by Mo Willems
4. The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds
5. 17 Things I Am Not Allowed To Do Anymore by Jenny Offill and Nancy Carpenter
6. Skippyjon Jones by Judy Schachner
7. You Will Be My Friend by Peter Brown
8. Julius, Baby of the World by Keven Henkes
9. I Want My Hat Back by Jon Klassen
10. Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus by Mo Willems

I see some old friends and some books I would like to get to know in your list. Thanks for the recommendations.
