Fall is Here!

The weather has turned colder even here in Alabama, and the leaves are turning beautiful colors! Alabama Crimson Tide football is 10-0. And I finally went to get my long sleeve shirts out of storage last week. So fall has really arrived in the Deep South.

I am over halfway through my online facilitator class and am still learning lots of new and fun things from my PLN. I am also almost finished teaching a F2F class on Educational Planning at UWA and an online class called Technology Portfolio, also for the University of West Alabama.

I am continue to be committed to reading to my nephew's Kindergarten class each week and working with my niece's 2nd grade class on technology projects. I love seeing kids learning and having fun. Busy times!

I am also participating in Steve Dembo's 30 Days to Better Blogging. I blog here to discuss my ideas on education, usually related to technology, but sometimes not. I am passionate about making this world a better place through teaching the next generation how to think. I value my network connections I have made through online and face-to-face contacts and look forward to hearing from more of my readers.

Hey, Laurie, what's the portfolio course about?

It is a one hour class where they just put together stuff they have done in their Technology class and turn it in to me. They have to do a classroom map, an AUP, a PPT activity, a lesson plan, student work, etc. It's the first time I have done this course.
