Another Video Example

This video shows us what our students are thinking. What can we do to engage them? How can technology help us do that? Please post a comment.

I am enjoying this class a lot.The use of multimedia in the classroom has definately proved to be a keeper. Music, videos and graphics certainly do add interest to a class.

This video would be an excellent teaching tool for use in professional development workshops for k-12 educators. I think that I will share it with all of my teacher peers. It really shows us that we are using too many old tools to teach new concepts.

I really enjoyed this video. The part where the students wrote "Engage Me" really stood out. I think as teachers we really get set in our ways using the traditional teaching method and not trying to learn something new. This video has really got me to think about new ways that I can enhance not only my students, but myself through learning technology and all its available resources.

I found this video to be interesting. Interesting because there was no verbal communication. I enjoyed the way the message was expressed, but I also saw where if you were unable to read what was on the message boards then you would not have understood the message being expressed. I agree that children need to be more knowledgable of technology in education and given different ways of expressing themselves. However, they still should know the fundamentals of reading, writing, and math.

Wow! This was awesome. It brought visual light to what is happening in our society.Boy, it was plain and clear. Many times teachers are "old school" and they are teaching the same way they were taught, and sometimes, teachers are not familiar with the technology that is being used in our society daily. Statistics were shown of factual information, and the results are depressing. This video encourages teachers to engage the students with technology and learning of the basic skills to be productive. Hopefully as educators will take heed to the information

I really enjoyed this video and it speaks out to us as teachers that our students are very interested in being engaged int their learning. We can engage our students by allowing them to speak out on what it is that helps them to be engaged. Technology will help us do this through incorporating interesting websites, media, and technology efficient tools that help them to learn. Students will be more engaged when they are active in what they're supposed to be learning. We can use today's latest media tools such as the private chatting websites for our classroom disucussions, digital software to listen to our stories, clickers, etc. Today's generation is filled with technology and once our students are exposed, then they'll be engaged and eager to learn.

This video truly reflected so many of the taditional methods that teachers use to teach our children today. They are interested in it anymore. We can engage students to become better learners by determining the way(s) in which they learn. Finding ways that make learning more rewarding yet exciting can be the most rewarding experience for children. Technology can help to engage them in learning because we now live in a technological era where nearly if not all children have had some experience with some form of technology. They seem to be "borned" with the inept abilty to understand and use technology. To them its fun using technology. So to make it learning engaging using technology, find something that fun yet benefitial to learning.

This video really points out the fact that too many educators, including myself, need to beef up technology in our instructions.
